M. A. Pupkewitz
HMA (Tony) Pupkewitz was born and grew up in Namibia. He studied Engineering and Economics at UCT before leaving to become a professional photographer and writer. He worked in Paris and London for 7 years during which time his photographs were published in leading European and other magazines and publications around the world.
After independence he returned to Namibia and set up and ran a successful business publishing and selling signed prints and upmarket postcards with his iconic Namibian images, as well as doing other creative and commercial work in video and photography. As a writer, he has had many articles and letters to international newspapers and magazines published on a variety of topics including economics, politics and travel.
In 1996 and 1997 he worked in the Pupkewitz family business, tackling a variety of important issues both at the highest level and at the coal face. He has more than twenty five years’ experience as a successful private financial investment manager and closely following the world and regional financial markets and business news.
